It's a virus so it always stays in your body. Your immune system will control it however. Hey a pap test every year for the rest of your life. Current medical guidelines are that you don't need one every year if your last several have been normal, but I am not comfortable with that. I will insist on one every year forever. If you ever have another abnormal one, don't worry just get it treated. Folate is important for preventing cervical dysplasia. [ Reply | More ]

I have two healthy children with relatively easy pregnancies (difficulties unrelated to cervical cancer or HPV) and I haven't had an abnormal pap in a decade. It doesn't have to be awful. That is fair and very decent of them, as it was their daughter who made the mistake. Take them up on it! Don't lend your car out again. It's pretty hard to find a diesel pump in many gas stations in the US. It stinks. Why would someone assume that a car takes diesel? In Europe, OK, but not in the US. [ Reply | More ]

OP: She did not assume it took diesel. She did not know she was putting in diesel. Usually diesel is a completely separate pump. In this station it was one of the choices in the row of buttons. She picked up nozzle, put it in tank, and pressed "regular" button -- but no gas came out. In frustration, she pushed all the buttons until gas started flowing -- of course the only button that worked was diesel. What she should have done is put down the nozzle and take the other nozzle. He said what he said. "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press" ... to what purpose? To help him win election in the U.S. He's not asking them to send emails to the FBI that will help Hillary Clinton win. He is asking for foreign assistance to help boost his candidacy. No lies there. Do you think people don't understand plain English? [ Reply | More ]

So you basically admit Trump usually gets up in public and holds press conferences without any substance whatsoever to his words? This doesn't bother you? Why bring Russia into it at all? You either have to admit he knows exactly how people will interpret his words, or you have to admit he's just rambling incoherently. Or, was it a bit of comedy? This guy's running for office. Are you saying he was asking Russia to help prosecute Hillary? [ Reply | More ]

Oh yeah - no it doesn't bother me, I find it entertaining. And of course all the candidates do this, or would if they were talented enough to hold the camera's attention. Trump did not bring Russia into it - Robby Mook from the Clinton campaign did. It's all smoke and mirrors. It is a bit of comedy. He was asking Russia for help and why not - she is a criminal. I don't see the issue. [ Reply | More ]

He speaks contemporaneously- you should expect clarifications later, which is exactly what happened. He brought Russia into it because that was the subject of the press conference- constant Democratic attempts to tie him to Russia. This is all really funny because Democrats/Obama insisted there was no strategic interest in overreacting to Crimea and Syria against Russia and now they are busy trying to overreact to Russia. No the Dems drummed up the Russia thing - he is responding to it. The FBI investigated her and confirmed to the congress that she had been extremely careless, would probably not get security clearance if she was anyone else, had deleted tens of thousands of e-mails indiscriminately, had not cooperated with the state department investigation, and had lied repeatedly about these things to the American people. Is he stupid? The Russians are alleged to be behind the hacking of the Democratic Party's email server(s). A few days later Trump gives a press conference where he advocates stronger ties to Russia. Those optics are bad. That was a stupid thing to do, nevermind the joke about asking the Russians to find Hillary's "missing" emails. [ Reply | More ]

Let's all just remember that the hand wringing on the Trump side over the emails was from fear they would end up in the hands of a foreign government ... Now Trump is hoping it occurs "Russia I hope you're able to find the emails" ... there is no confusion here. [ Reply | More ]

In my child's school, in NYC, according to the directory, almost all (but not all) mothers use their own last names. Why the huge difference? Careers? I am not making any judgments. I am really interested in the sociological difference, however, and any reason for it. I kept my name, since I was the last person in my family with it, and it linked me to gps and ggps I loved. I also wanted it as a reminder of who I was, rather than my husband. But I think there are other perfectly acceptable ways of dealing with the issue. [ Reply | More ]
