[ - ] Talking casually with my mom today (we do this one or two hour phone calls every weekend), she tells me about this family member of hers who had her last child naturally at 56. I freaked a bit: "you tell me this now?". She couldn't stop laughing about this. She didn't have her menopause till 51. Am I going to be this way as well? 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

[ - ] We invited SIL and her new bf (chef at a trendy restaurant in Brooklyn) out to our beach house for the long weekend. What an amazing experience. They arrived with a nice wine selection and gourmet snacks as a hostess gift. The bf brought chef’s hats for the kids and aprons with their names embroidered. SIL and BF would get up early and meal prep for the day, cook pancakes, waffles, omelets, etc. with the kids, pack picnics, etc. One night we were going to meet a group of friends at a restaurant but the bf talked us in to cancelling the reservations and we had everyone over to our house and they did all of the cooking—but also found time to also mingle and enjoy our friends, etc. This was such an amazing weekend and I loved getting to know my SIL better not that she has a ‘great guy’ bf, plus they were both so great with the kids.
