[ - ] I told teacher that a boy was hitting/bullying my DS in class (kindergarten) and wanted to set up a meeting to discuss. She said that no one is innocent in that class and has asked the assistant teachers to join the meeting. Thoughts? Relax. She's just going to talk about how kids that age struggle with communication skills (no, Johnny, shoving that kid is not the right way to say "please move") and group dynamics. Your kid probably does his fair share of contributing to these things. Kids in K are NOT bullies. The teacher knows this, now you need to realize this too. [ Reply | More ]

Have you observed this first hand? I would wager that you haven't. You're collecting your information from a 5-year-old. Is he lying? No. His perception of what's going on is valid. But the teacher will be able to paint a more accurate picture of what's actually going on for you. She clearly asked the aides to attend because, based on your history, it's clear that you will not be receptive to having an honest conversation about this. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] I have had a mild sinus infection for 10 months now. started last winter and i thought it was just nasal irritation from the cold weather and it would go away when it warmed up. I didn't hurt that much, was just stuffy and light yellow snot. Then when it persisted in the spring I went to the doctor. The doctor told me an infection would not last that long and that it had to be allergies so she gave me a prescription for flonase. I've used the bottle every day since then and it's been 6 months and still no improvement. i don't think it's allergies. it has a specific type of smell that is hard to describe. I think it's an infection. but the doctor said it was impossible for infection to last that long and that it must be allergies.
