I have the Sport my friend has the Vibe and hers is better but both do the job and I decided to stick with the Sport. The Vibe has wider seats and a handbrake (footbrake on the Sport is rubbish) [ Reply | More ]

well, she was unable to have sex with my BIL (perhaps she was not technically avirgin due to something traumatic). Teh sex therapy was for the opposite of sex addicts. A couples therepaist had told tehm that if she worked really hard in therapy, he predicted she might be able to have a sexual relationship in her marriage in a a year. Seh said she realy didn't care if she worked that hard. [ Reply | More ]

Don't bother with a double stroller for a 4 y/o. If you really think she's going to be too tired to walk sometimes, get a buggy board for a single stroller. A double stroller will be a waste of money. [ Reply | More ]

It depends on the situation - at a place like the Bronx Zoo or Disney it makes sense, but on a day-to-day basis they usually aren't necessary. We live in Manhattan, and other than the Bronx Zoo, 4 y/o DD hasn't used her stroller in about 6 months. We do take the bus more than we did when she used the stroller regularly, though (it's easy for me to walk 20 or 30 blocks pushing the stroller, not so easy for me to muster the patience it takes for DD to walk that far). people think fasting will mean lower numbers, but the opposite is true. without anything else in your stomach your blood sugar will spike. With some protein/fat it will be digested slowly, no spike (unless you actually have GD). [ Reply | More ]

you can either keep the sack and wait for her to outgrow it (she will eventually) or you just stop using it and let her adapt (which she will do eventually). Your choice. [ Reply | More ]

My ped said none until after 12 months (something to do with enzymes). But I would listen to your own ped, I really don't think your ped would jeopardize your baby's health. [ Reply | More ]

But how can a baby's ability to digest change overnight (i.e., on 1 yr bday)? It must be gradual, right? [ Reply | More ]
General Topics 06.02.08, 02:03 PM Flag
»
You can either digest or not digest something (there is a threshold in there somewhere). I think the 1 year rule is just statistics - like 95% of babies can digest milk by then. Your ped knows your baby, and I'm guessing by 10 months like 50% of babies can do it. If your baby isn't one of them, since you are gradually introducing it, no real harm done. [ Reply | More ]

It doesn't change overnight -- it's just that their brains and eyeballs are different at age 1 than earlier. The enzymes in formula help develop healthy eyes and brains. [ Reply | More ]
