In the book, they;re all these society bitches and they go to all of these random charity events for stopping acne, and against childhood obesity. One reams out the director of her ds's preschool because her son came home with paint on his 300$ sweater. I just never met these ladies. [ Reply | More ]

Any kid can do this, it's all about the training. If you sing ABC (a lot) to your kid and quiz him about numbers, he'll do these tricks too. Kids mimic their parents. If your worried, then start quizing your kid. If your annoyed at your friend, don't be. Celebrate the ways that your kid is great with her! [ Reply | More ]

most kids in my son's class can say their abc and count - including him - at 2.5. Regardless not doing so should not be an issue, nor is being able to do something to brag about. I get the same with a few mothers I am friends with. My son is smart, but the schl he goes to in NYC is so frkn ultra comptitv that parents often can not stop talking about how their kid did this or that or the other - often something my son has not done. So I just roll my eyes let it go in one ear and out the other. [ Reply | More ]
