But these women with 3 yos who have never used a babysitter or never left DB overnight or for a few nights with the grandparents! Give me a break, it's like no one ever raised a child without killing him before you came along. Get over yourself. 17 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Hunter, a gifted public school, requires the Stanford Binet IQ test. Most private schools require the "ERB", a form of the WPPSI IQ test. Public G&T schools & programs require the OLSAT, another test mostly used for school readiness. [ Reply | More ]

ERB (for private schools), OLSAT/Bracken combo test for G&T and stanford binet for Hunter. I can see a year - yeah it sucks, but I can get through this, etc - but 2 years with braces seems so... so... big and ugly... I never thought I was particularly vain, but I don't know how I'll do that... [ Reply | More ]

My best friend had braces for 2 years as an adult. She had the clear ones and they were hardly noticeable. No one, not even teenagers, get the big ugly metal ones anymore. [ Reply | More ]

Don't believe the orthodontist. I got scammed into Invisalign by an ortho who said I would lose all my teeth to periodontal disease later if I didn't close my gaps (I have healthy gums now). My new dentist actually called whatever state board there is for orthos to report this guy, it was total bs. [ Reply | More ]

This first ortho told me that i am not a candidate for Invisiline, and then I asked about the braces on the back of the teeth. He said only one guy in my toen does them and he would refer me, but did I know why there was only one. I asked if it was because the other guy was much smarter than the rest of them, but he said it was because it doesn't work... anyone had those ? [ Reply | More ]

It's a crappy format, hence the change. I cannot believe people are so averse to change on a stupid message board that they threw such a fit. [ Reply | More ]

It wasn't the asking as much as the panic and whining. But ITA, it didn't take long to get used to it and I prefer the new format now. [ Reply | More ]

from that alone? you dont sing the abc's? draw letters and numbers? read to him? i'm not saying they don't help, but i doubt its from that alone. fwiw, my dd knows all the letters and numbers before 3, and her puzzle collection consists of princesses, castles and fairies. and she's a whiz at them. I think you can register at as many places you want to. I registered at Target for my main baby needs and then I found this great online website that specializes in custom items etc (www.tcnbabyboutique.com) and I registered there as well. You might also want to check out the nest.com i think they have a multiple registry store. [ Reply | More ]
