np- the book is called "Gang Leader for a Day," just finished it, and while it was interesting, it didn't suck me in nearly as much as Random Family. Not at all. I sometimes feel pressured to enroll my 4 yo in classes beyond her 5 day a week preschool when I hear about dc taking karate, music, spanish, ballet etc. Frankly, she has plenty going on with preschool and day camp and I would rather have the freedom in our schedule to experience music, art, outdoor play on a more spontaneous basis. During the summer, free concerts for kids at the park, playdates where the kids dance to music, doing crafts at home. They have plenty of time to take music lessons or pursue a sport once they are in grade school. [ Reply | More ]
