jane's exchange in the east village (4th st? between a & b) and flying squirrel, in williamsburg, both have good used clothes. also try ebay. i've found lots of great, designer new or used baby clothes on ebay for little money. [ Reply | More ]

For nyc retail, Daffy's will always be best,if you prefer quality and Euro style/brands. I agree w/H&M, Old Navy and add Target,ZARA kids and Lilliput on Lafayette St for other retail; Those resources are perfect for style and some last longer than a growing baby will wear them. Online, I like TEA collection,Zutano,Osh Kosh and Carters. [ Reply | More ]

NP. I don't think so. It's very cheesy with weird characters. Old Navy, Target (online), H&M, and Lord & Taylor has a lot of Ralph Lauren sales. Children's Place usually has really scary colors, but occasionally you can find something pretty normal for $7. [ Reply | More ]

In colonial times, families grew their own flax to make into fabric for clothing. Transforming the flax into thread was a complicated, involved process with many time-consuming steps. After the flax was harvested, it was soaked in water for several days to soften it so the inner fibers could be removed from the stalk. To separate the long, thin fibers from the shorter, coarser ones, the flax was pulled through a bed of nails or combed in a process called "towing." The shorter fibers that were extricated were of a lesser quality and were called "tow." This led to the term "towheads" to describe people, particularly children, whose hair resembled these strands. Np: for #2 I also walked about 4 miles and went into labor. Fyi, for #3 I had to be induced due to high bp and I didn't want to get an epi and I was able to do it. Tried cytotec to kick me into labor but didn't work, so they put on the pitocin but only until 3 cm and then broke my water and turned it off the pitocin and I delivered in 1 hour. GL! Not a big deal. Most people who aren't going through ivf don't even find out they're preg until weeks later and have been drinking through that period. I will say though that during my ivf 2ww I was so nervous that I put myself on bedrest for a week and didn't drink. I'm now preg with dc2 (shockingly without ivf) and I was drinking A LOT (holidays) not knowing I was preg! it is what it is. baby will be fine, but you should probably chill. [ Reply | More ]
