I'm sure the people that were there first don't appreciate the fact that their local grocery is replaced with some expensive Whole foods, the dingy bar is now a gastropub, rent is rising thanks to greedy landlords and yet they still have crappy public schools because your snowflake is too precious to go to public school and you aren't really willing to do neighborhood building. You are basically the 21'st equivalent of Christopher Columbus. Use the local resources to better yourself and fuck the natives. 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Agreed. I hate it when people say, "We bought/rent in this neighborhood bc it's all that we could afford, but we knew we would never send oue kids to the local schools." People are so lazy nowadays. They won't put any work into their neighborhood school. They want everything already done. That's not how it was in the 80s and 90s. [ Reply | More ]

Really, her husband thinks that taken care of a baby is easy as pie and can't understand why she doesn't have time for frivolities like reading about current events. Let him have a try. I say leave them alone for an entire day on a weekend. She should walk out the door at 7 a.m. and be out of touch for the next 10 hours. And let's see how he feels about it. See if he's in the mood to talk about the news when she gets home. See if he wants to hear all about her day. [ Reply | More ]

You are so far off the Mark it's not even funny. We are in none dated by this all day in the news and it is absolutely exhausting. Trying to come here for a break to talk about mundane or entertaining other shit and then it's just more speculation about this awful awful event for what it's worth, my 16 year old daughter has a very good friend who attends this school. They have been Junior counselors at the same summer camp on Cape Cod for the last three years and keep in touch all the time during the winter. At 3 in the afternoon on that awful day last week my daughter is on her bus on her way home getting texts from her friend who is in the fetal position under a desk. So I'm fucking sick of hearing about this asshole and talking about what may or may not happen to him. Who fucking cares what happens to him. I care about what happens to this lovely little girl from Florida that I've had the pleasure of having at my home's each summer for the past couple of years. And all the others like her. And all the parents who have no 16 year old anymore. This post helps no one. It helps all of you and your fucking bubbles still think that it could never happen to you or your precious kids. First of all you do not understand the difference between jail and prison. Right now he is in jail, which is where you go before you are put on trial. If you go on trial and are found guilty and are sentenced then you go to prison. If he does not forfeit his right to a trial and he is found guilty he is most likely to be committed to a state or federal psychiatric hospital for the rest of his life. If by some chance he is sentenced to prison, someone with as much information and as well known crime as he has committed would never be placed in the general population. [ Reply | More ]

No they are not given a choice about solitary confinement. If he goes to prison which I feel is doubtful he will go to solitary yes for the rest of his life. I feel it is much more likely that he will be committed to a secure psychiatric facility that is basically a prison but with slightly better amenities and he will be held there until he dies. Which at his age could be a very, very long time. [ Reply | More ]

Everything that could go wrong did. He will rot in jail after getting attacked by prisoners. He will get the death penalty. This is FL. He won't kill himself or he would have done that during the shooting. He will not talk to anyone I would guess. And the poor families who lost someone will be haunted forever. Nothing ends up in the water. Heat makes THC bond with fats/lipids. You consume as much butter as you figure out you can tolerate, but I have processed 1lb of butter with 1lb weed and have made enough with it to last me for months. Depends on your tolerance. I know I have made caramels with 1/4 of butter (1 stick) and I made nearly 750 caramels last summer. For reference, on a day when I have off and there's nowhere to go drive, I can have up to 3 of them before I'm good and well buzzed. [ Reply | More ]

Just got back from vacation where we kept running into the same family - 5 kids all around 8 and younger, mom usually carrying 2 of them but when she wasn’t around the oldest girl who was maybe 7 if not 6 was always carrying the baby (@1). The Dad was constantly smoking everywhere t was allowed. Multiple times I walked past one of the few smoking permitted places and he was standing there smoking while his little girl held his baby and all 5 kids breathed in his fumes. I just don’t understand how people can know the terrible effects of smoking and second-hand smoke and keep doing it. 12 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

You need to not worry about it. Yes, we all know smoking is not good for anyone. But so many of us who were kids in the seventies and eighties grew up in homes with parents who both smoked all the time. In the car with the windows closed, well holding us as babies, everywhere in the house, well tucking Us in at night, and yes most of our mother smoked while pregnant. Amazingly, we are all just fine and statistically Our Generation didn't pick up smoking at nearly the rate that our parents did. And our children will likely be very far removed from that. Yeah it's not cool and it's disturbing to see but it's probably all going to turn outjust fine. Worry about your own. [ Reply | More ]

Not “most of our” mothers did this. I grew up in the 80s and had only 2 friends whose parents smoked. I just found out my boyfriend of 2 years, who of course I thought was this amazing person with all of this integrity, groped my 22 year old babysitter last weekend. God, what a f"ing mess. He denied it of course and then confessed. She's so upset and like just traumatized frankly. I told her that if she wanted to go to the police and file a report I would go with her and stand by her, etc. and all of that. But my God, like wtf do I do with this? My husband of 17 years who I ALSO thought was a good guy did all kinds of bad stuff and I finally discovered it. I waited like a year to date and this was the first serious relationship I had. Wtf?
